The first thing you'll need to do is get access to our training site.  The training site is aboard the Navy Operational Support Center at Fort Dix, part of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, in New Jersey.

When you visit our unit and do not already have a DBIDS card or military ID that grants you access to the base, you must first visit the McGuire Welcome Center (on the upper right part of the map below) to obtain a visitor's pass for the weekend. This is ONLY possible if you have fully completed Step 2. When you sign in at the Welcome Center, you must indicate that you need a Visitor Pass and that you are with the Sea Cadets, and if needed indicate that LT Shelley Rossell is your sponsor. You will need to bring valid government ID (such as a Driver's License), as well as current registration and insurance card. Please allow sufficient time to obtain your pass. The McGuire Welcome Center is located at 3021 McGuire Blvd in Wrightstown, NJ.  Their hours are:  Monday-Friday: 0600-1800 and Saturday and Sunday: 0730-1530. They can be reached at 609-754-3938.

Once you have this pass or if you already have a DBIDS card, use your favorite mapping site or GPS to get you to the Route 68 Main Gate at Fort Dix.  Then follow the directions below (click on "View Larger Map" to make the route show up properly).

From the Route 68 Gate, you'll need to come to our office for drop-off and pick-up.
  1. Proceed into the traffic circle.
  2. Take the second right off the circle onto Pemberton-Wrightstown Road.
  3. At the traffic light, make a right onto New Jersey Avenue.

  5. Continue to follow the DETOUR and make a right onto Maryland Avenue.

    • at 10th Street, there will be a traffic light.
  9. To get to the office/drop-off point/pick-up point, make a left onto Orlando St. Building 5958 will be on your left, and we are at the far end. If you reach 16th Street or can see the fencing surrounding the Federal Correctional Institute, you have gone too far.  The drop-off point building is marked with a sign for Navy Reserve Recruiting.  Parking is at the rear of this building.
IF YOU GET LOST, OR YOU CANNOT GAIN ENTRANCE TO THE BASE, PLEASE CALL 609-949-9019 x8.  It will ring all the staff simultaneously so we can try to expedite getting you on base.
