Reminder: Drill Attendance

posted Oct 24, 2014, 2:51 PM by Shelley Rossell
Cadets are required to attend a minimum of 75% of scheduled drills, per regulations.  If cadets are not meeting this standard, they may be dismissed from the NSCC or NLCC.  Cadets will not get any benefit from the program without regular attendance.

We understand that things come up and in the case of illness or death in the family, absences are certainly excused.

For nearly every other situation, such as work, sports, and school activities, cadets are expected to at least partially attend the drill.

For example, cadet has a soccer tournament starting on Saturday morning, they should come to drill at the conclusion of the tournament.

Even if cadets cannot attend drill, they should be making progress on coursework and submitting assignments and NLCC syllabus review questions as soon as they are completed.

Thank you!
